- What’s the age requirement?
- We do not set any age restrictions. However, like any publisher, we need to ensure that the written work is of a certain quality. Please do not send in your children’s composition-writing unless it fits the requirement.
- Do you need us to send any illustrations?
- You do not have to send us any illustrations, but if it will help us to understand your story better, please do so. We are not obligated to pay or use the illustrations if your manuscript gets selected.
- Can a Malaysian submit the manuscript?
- We do not set any restriction as to where you are from as long as you can submit a good manuscript (standard Malay and/or standard British English). However, we think that the opportunity for Malaysians is much bigger in Malaysia than in Singapore. That said, if you do submit a manuscript to us, do ensure that the setting is relevant to Singaporean children as well. (Tip: Singaporean children may not understand kampung life and/or the specifics of a Malaysian school life.)
